The Kuhn EL 122-280 Rotavator is a heavy-duty 2.8m rotary cultivator designed for intensive soil preparation, breaking down clods and creating a fine, level finish in a single pass.

Its PTO-driven rotor works aggressively through the soil, providing thorough cultivation across the full width of the machine. With a working depth of approximately 8–23cm, it can be used for anything from relatively shallow seedbed preparation through to deeper, more intensive cultivation.

The EL 122-280 is particularly useful where a fine finish is required, with the rotating blades breaking down previously cultivated or ploughed ground while mixing soil and surface material. Working depth can be controlled using the machine’s wheels or rear roller depending on specification.

Its compact mounted design makes the machine straightforward to manoeuvre, while the 2.99m overall width keeps it below 3m for transport. The 2.8m model has a minimum power requirement of approximately 70hp, although tractor size should be matched to soil conditions, working depth and the weight of the machine.

The Kuhn EL 122-280 is particularly well suited to seedbed preparation, working down ploughed ground, vegetable and horticultural ground preparation, reseeding, land restoration and intensive secondary cultivation.
