Vaderstad Carrier 650 6.5M Short Discs

The Väderstad Carrier 650 is a high-output trailed disc cultivator designed for fast, effective cultivation across a wide range of conditions. With an effective working width of approximately 6.44m, it is particularly well suited to larger arable farms and contractors looking to cover ground quickly during tight post-harvest cultivation windows.

Two rows of individually mounted discs cut and mix the soil and crop residues, making the Carrier particularly effective for stubble cultivation, residue incorporation and seedbed preparation. Väderstad specifies a working depth of up to 12cm for the Carrier 420–820 range, allowing the machine to work shallow when creating a stale seedbed or deeper where more intensive mixing is required.

A rear packer reconsolidates the soil after cultivation, helping retain moisture and leaving an even finish ready for the next operation. The Carrier’s individually mounted, rubber-suspended discs also help it follow the ground contour while maintaining consistent cultivation.

With a recommended working speed of 10–14km/h, the Carrier 650 offers impressive daily output. Väderstad lists the model with 52 discs and a draught requirement starting from approximately 190hp, although actual tractor requirements will depend on soil type, working depth, terrain and conditions.
